Victor Katsman, DDS, graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. His goal is to offer dental care and services that everyone in the community feels confident in. He strives to ensure that every patient receives the care they need and deserve.
Dr. Katsman lives in Westchester, NY with his wife Lauren and their three girls, Amelia, Ellie, and Emma.
Rebecca Maawad, DDS, MS, works at the Freeport location. She completed her GPR at Wyckoff HEIGHTS Medical Center, attended New York University College of Dental Medicine for dental school, earned a Master of Science in Oral Health Sciences from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Drexel University. She is a member of the New York State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the New York County Dental Society. She focuses her continuing education on endodontics and attends the American Association of Endodontics Annual Meetings to learn more about the field.
Dr. Maawad has worked in dentistry for about two years and was drawn to the field by the combination of healthcare, creativity, science, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She most enjoys making patients get over their fear of dentists and dentistry, making anxious patients feel at ease, and taking time to educate patients. She is passionate about emergency care to get patients out of pain, preventative education, and giving patients confidence in their smile and oral health. Her approach to patient care is empathetic, compassionate, gentle, and relationship focused.
Dr. Maawad appreciates the team culture and patient relationships at the practice. Outside of work, she loves traveling, baking, photography, and visiting art museums on the weekends. She also teaches at a general dentistry residency program in Brooklyn and is passionate about teaching the future of dentistry.
Jonathan M. Cohen, DDS, was born and raised in Great Neck, NY.
He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with multiple honors.
He then completed a General Practice Residency at North Shore LIJ, where he was able to gain more clinical exposure to all aspects of restorative dentistry, Dental Implantology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
After completing his general practice training, he went on to complete five years of residency in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and University Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center in Newark, NJ.
During his last year of residency, he served as the Chief Resident. During that time he would perform the most complex procedures while having the opportunity to educate students and residents in both clinical and academic Oral Surgery.
While training at Rutgers, Dr. Cohen twice received the patient advocacy award, recognized by the hospital for his gentle nature and excellence in patient care. Dr. Cohen has active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Nicole A. Teehan, DDS, is a compassionate and patient-focused dentist who has been dedicated to the field of dentistry since 2001. She began her career as a dental assistant before returning to school to pursue her dental degree, giving her a well-rounded understanding of patient care and the dental experience.
She earned her dental education from the Loma Linda School of Dentistry and completed her Chief Residency at Brookdale Hospital from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Teehan is passionate about oral rehabilitation and helping patients regain both comfort and function through personalized treatment plans.
Known for her gentle, personal, and patient-focused approach, Dr. Teehan believes in making every patient feel comfortable and cared for during their visit. She enjoys getting to know her patients and helping create a positive dental experience, especially for those who may feel anxious about treatment.
Dr. Teehan values collaboration with her team members to provide comprehensive patient care and believes in treating patients with honesty and compassion. Her philosophy is to recommend the same care she would suggest for her own family members.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Teehan enjoys traveling, running marathons, and spending time with her four dogs and two cats. Patients may also be surprised to learn that she owns a bar in Queens, reflecting her energetic and entrepreneurial personality.
Jonathan Morcos, DDS, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing comprehensive oral, implant, and dentalveolar surgery care to his patients.
Born in Nassau County, New York, Dr. Morcos earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from New York University before completing four years of specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nassau University Medical Center. His training concluded with serving as Chief Resident in the Department of Oral Surgery.
Dr. Morcos remains committed to continuing education and staying current with the latest advancements in oral surgery and patient care. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American Dental Association. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Dental General Anesthesia.
Throughout his career, Dr. Morcos has performed countless procedures ranging from wisdom teeth extractions to maxillofacial trauma and reconstructive surgery. He is also experienced in research and education, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national conventions on topics including implant surgery, facial trauma, and orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Morcos has lectured at venues including the Greater New York Dental Meeting, the New York State Society for Oral Surgery meetings, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons meetings, and New York University.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Morcos enjoys spending time with his wife and young children.
Rafael Badalov, DDS, provides care at our Selden, Commack, Village, Freeport, and Hauppauge locations. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the NYU College of Dentistry in 2022, completed a General Practice Dentistry Residency at Kings County Hospital Center in 2023, and an Internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nassau University Medical Center in 2025.
Dr. Badalov has also completed live implant training (May 2026) and is pursuing Master membership with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and membership with the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP). He has been practicing dentistry since 2022, inspired by his childhood pediatric dentist, whose energy, compassion, and ability to make patients feel at ease sparked his passion for dentistry and surgical care.
Dr. Badalov enjoys alleviating pain, helping patients improve their oral health and quality of life, and educating them so they can make informed decisions about their long-term dental health. He is especially passionate about dentoalveolar surgery, complex extractions, implant-based restorations, oral pathology, and the surgical management of complex cases.
He finds it incredibly rewarding to restore patients’ function, comfort, and confidence through surgical care, while emphasizing comprehensive treatment planning, bone grafting, socket preservation, and ridge augmentation to achieve lasting results.
His approach to patient care is comprehensive, patient-centered, and built on trust. He strives to provide honest treatment planning, precise and gentle care, and an experience where every patient feels heard, comfortable, and better than when they arrived. He also appreciates the practice’s talented team, patient-first philosophy, and commitment to using high-quality surgical materials that contribute to better patient outcomes.
Outside of work, Dr. Badalov enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter, reading, exercising, running, and relaxing with great movies and television series. Some of his favorites include Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight, Game of Thrones, and The Sopranos.
A fun fact that patients may enjoy is that he once removed a tooth from a crocodile—yes, really! One of his favorite quotes is, “Happiness is not having what you want, but wanting what you have.”
Saro Atam, DMD, MS is a board-certified orthodontist with extensive training and experience in comprehensive orthodontic care. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master’s in Biomedical Sciences at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Atam is experienced in a wide range of orthodontic techniques and technologies, including conventional orthodontics, the Damon System, Invisalign, ULAB, 3M Clarity Aligners, TADs, and implant-supported palatal expanders. He also has expertise in Phase I orthodontic treatment, digital orthodontic workflows, 3D printing and scanning systems, appliance fabrication, and wire bending.
He currently practices orthodontics at multiple dental practices and at NYU Langone Hospital, where he is involved in cleft lip and cleft palate care. His professional achievements include the JCO Resident of the Year Award and the AAOF Charles J. Burstone Research Aid Award, along with several clinical and research honors. His research interests include digital orthodontic workflows, 3D printing, appliance fabrication, and dental materials.
Stephanie Marie Sfiroudis, DDS, MS, earned her Certificate in Periodontology and Dental Implants from Stony Brook University in 2020, along with a Master’s degree in Oral Biology. She became a Board-Certified Periodontist in 2021 and is LANAP certified for laser gum surgery around teeth and implants, as well as laser frenectomies.
Dr. Sfiroudis is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), NESP, ADA, and the Nassau County Dental Society.
She graduated from dental school in 2017 and completed her periodontal specialty training in 2020. Her inspiration for becoming a periodontist came from her grandfather, who had full upper and lower dentures. That experience motivated her to learn everything she could about saving teeth and helping patients maintain their oral health. She also enjoys arts and crafts, working with her hands, and the esthetic aspects of implant placement and tissue preservation.
Dr. Sfiroudis enjoys saving teeth, fixing problems for patients, and building trust with those she treats. She is especially passionate about periodontal plastic surgery, microsurgery, and dental implants.
Her approach to patient care focuses on comprehensive and holistic treatment planning and care. She also appreciates collaborating with general dentists and specialists within one office, making treatment more convenient for patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Sfiroudis enjoys spending time with her family, including her 4-year-old son, twin 1-year-old boys, and her 1.5 lb rescue chihuahua who even has its own TikTok.
Milana is a compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist dedicated to providing gentle,
personalized care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. She is passionate about preventive dentistry
and patient education, helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Known for her gentle approach and
attention to detail, Milana strives to make every visit a positive experience. Outside of the office, she enjoys
spending time with her two children, exploring new places, and creating lasting family memories.
