Crowns and Bridges

We understand that you want your smile to be both healthy and attractive. At Your Smile Group® Affiliated practices, we offer natural-looking crowns and bridges that restore your smile’s function, improve its health, and enhance its beauty.

What is a dental crown?

A dental crown is a restoration that is used when the tooth is damaged too seriously to be repaired with a filling. The crown completely covers the part of the tooth that is visible above the gums.

This allows the crown to effectively strengthen the tooth and protect it from further damage. We use local anesthesia during the procedure to keep you comfortable.

When do you need a crown?

If your smile would benefit from a dental crown, our experienced team will ensure that you understand the procedure.

Severe Decay

A tooth is severely decayed and cannot be repaired with a filling.

Cracked Tooth

A tooth is cracked and needs protection and reinforcement.

Large Existing Filling

A tooth already has a large filling and can no longer support the filling or has additional decay or damage.

Serious Wear

A tooth is seriously worn and requires restoration and protection.

After Root Canal

A tooth needs protection following root canal therapy to prevent future damage.

Dental Implant

A dental implant needs to be completed with a restoration.

How do crowns work?

A crown works by completely covering the visible part of the tooth. During the procedure, some of the natural tooth structure is removed. The custom-made crown is then placed over your natural tooth, providing it with strength and protection from damage.

Depending on your particular needs and preferences, dental crowns can be completed in two or three visits to our office.

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is a restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge uses your remaining natural teeth as anchors to support the replacement tooth.

No matter which type of dental bridge you need, our skilled dentists will ensure that your restoration is natural-looking and comfortable for your smile.

YOUR COMFORT MATTERS

What types of dental bridges are available?

We offer several types of dental bridges to meet your specific needs and preferences.

Traditional Fixed Bridge

The most common type of bridge. It uses two crowns on either side of the missing tooth or teeth. The crowns are placed on the natural teeth adjacent to the missing tooth, supporting the replacement tooth.

Cantilever Bridge

This type of dental bridge uses a crown on only one side of the missing tooth. It is most commonly used for front teeth.

Maryland Bridge

This kind of bridge bonds to the back of teeth adjacent to the gap left by the missing teeth. This may be used as a temporary solution.

Implant-Supported Bridge

This type of dental bridge is anchored by one or more dental implants rather than natural teeth. This may be a good option if you are missing multiple teeth in a row.

When do you need a dental bridge?

You may need a bridge if you are missing one or more teeth. At Your Smile Group® Affiliated practices, we are proud to offer multiple options for replacing missing teeth, including bridges, partial dentures, full dentures, and dental implants. Our dentists will discuss your particular needs and personal preferences with you to ensure that you choose the option that is right for you.
